Last Night in Twisted River by John Irving.
Mr Irving's not really my cup of tea, but I "have" to read this one for a reading group I've joined. It's better than expected...

Well, World According to Garp and A Prayer for Owen Meany are two of my all time favorites. And some of Until I Find You takes place in Zurich...need to pick up his latest.

Re: 'Until I Find You' was a hardcover book I borrowed from the Cham library. It made me want to visit the Kronenhalle, the expensive restaurant mentioned, on the walls of which are Picassos. Have yet to do it though.

I am reading Nathalie Sarraute, "Pour un oui ou pour un non" and have her "Les Fruits d'Or", "L'Enfance" and "L'Usage de la Parole" ligned up. Then I am in the middle of "Superfreakonomics" I bought for my hubby, I got caught up in it on the train, though, oops, he will have it tomorrow...
Then I am reading up stats on mother tongue acquisition in CH, interesting as well.. |

The restaurant is pricey, but they have a great bar that is attached. Met some real characters there.

Haruki Murakami. I love all of his books, especially "Kafka on the seashore". I've heared that he's more kind of author wither you love or you hate... I can understand that, as he's style is quite unusual... |

Meanwhile, thanks to recommendations in this very thread, I just completed Thumbprint (Wachtmeister Studer) by Friedrich Glauser, and am now beginning Fever (Die Fieberkurve).

Don't know what I'll do when I finish the last book?! LOL.
