I find that being serviced while trying to have a drink is most distracting.

Perhaps you should desist from such activities until after you've finished your Pina Colada?
ahhhhhhhhh DB how do you know she/he had a Pina Colada??

Mata Hari does not serve food
And as a regular customer and friend of the owner, I know that they have no interest in f--kwits eating fast food in their bar.
FFS, have some respect & eat your sh-t outside.

E2A: You're exactly the sort of person who we hope will stay away from the place.

<apologies to EF for my blatant snobbery - but sometimes....>

Re: DOS in Mata Hary?

I don't know.. I mean the Swiss are so anal about these things. Whats the big deal it was a few fries.

I was in a "posh" resturant in Basel a while ago, and when it can time for desert I ordered (Some Desert) and a coffee. And the waiter had the b@%%s to say "NO, you cannot have coffee with your desert. You MAY have it after you are finished your desert. We don't do that at this resturant"

It was an expensive meal and I want my coffee WITH desert. And the same goes for taking some French fries into a bar that doesn't serve food. Its really not the waiters buisness, there just the waiter, an not exactly the prevaory of wisdom on what is accetable in Swiss society. Im paying you good money so don't treat me like a back-woods hick.

To me these are two completely different scenarios.

I thing that judgement was based not on ff, but on different criteria - my dress code, not being local and so on, which makes it totally bias and discriminatory.

No you got it wrong, don't over complicate the issue. It's 100% ff. It's straightforward ff-ism. You're lucky you weren't carrying any rs or pr!
