This is our 2nd winter in Zurich and I first noticed "mature" spiders last summer hanging around our apartment but I chalked it up to summer invaders. Just this past 2 weeks, I've noticed tiny, tiny spiders spinning little webs around the place, and now I'm worried they will grow up into big ugly spiders in a few months. Is there a spider season in Switzerland? We really had some scares last year with (young) visitors and spiders/webs in the night! I generally trap pests like flies and bees and release them; however, I've been killing about 5 tiny spiders a day now -- can it get worse? What to do?

We are having some people coming in a few weeks to spray against spiders they come every year to spray the block flats to help keep them away

Oh yes.

It can get much, much worse.

I just squash the spiders with my thumb if they are really small or my shoe for the bigger ones. They aren't exactly big or deadly like back home.
