Swiss Army as an Expat

Hi, was about to join the TA in UK, but then shifted over here. Can a foreigner on a B permit do the equivalent of National Service here?

and no..................this isnt related to the other "Gay Swiss Army thread"!!!!!

You can only join the Swiss Armed Forces if you are a Swiss Citizen

Hmmmm, will create my own one then, we can go hiking, camping, hunting and then sleep in the nearest Travelodge, anyone in???

There are a lot of civil jobs at the army! The army employs many persons who work in the field they've learned but the condition that they do so in a military structure certainly is a new twist for most (e.g. instructors, medical personel). And then there are job openings in administration for the pencil pushers but language requirements are high there.
