Marks & Spencer

Does anyone know if they plan to open a Marks & Spencer in Zurich. My wife is getting withdrawal symptoms!

Re: Marks & Spencer

The one in Geneva closed down last year, so I don't think any Zurich plans are in place.

That said, it was just a food shop, not a regular M&S.

Good thing, though, is flights are cheap to the UK, so she can go and stock up now and again

Re: Marks & Spencer

If your wife just wants the clothes she can shop online
www.marksandspencer.com they will deliver to Switzerland for £12.50.
You will get charged with customs taxes when the package arrives.
I just spent £50 on some goods and was taxed 25CHF when the products arrived.

Re: Marks & Spencer

There used to be four in Belgium when we lived there: all of them made a profit but the Belgian MD decided to close them all, as well as those in France [amid a huge hue and cry] but "cost cutting" was and still is the name of the game. Just been to UK and traversed the M+S in Watford - what a pleasure!

Closed? Closed? It was always handy (-ish) to pick up work shirts, socks and shreds...

I am with your wife on that one! While they're at it ,could they please also open......Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, and a great butcher that sells rib of beef (on the bone) and why oh why can't I buy LARGE bottles of tonic water. God this country needs to catch up with the rest of the world.
On balance though, It's ok here
