UCI Road World Cycling Championships

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned the UCI World Championships before now, especially as Cancellara won on home soil on Thursday in the Individual Time Trial. He left the opposition for dead.

Bradley Wiggins, unfortunately, suffered a mechanical failure when he was poised to take Bronze.

The Road Race on Sunday should be interesting.

And the winner of the men's road race today, Cadel Evans, despite being Australian, now lives near the course in Ticino, Switzerland, and previously lived in canton Fribourg. In fact, there are quite a few foreign riders (male and female) who are based in Switzerland.

And I believe he is clean....a refreshing change.

I bet the UCI bigwigs were somewhat worried when Vino went away on the last lap...
