Web site showing public transport times between Zurich and other towns?

Hi all. I've been looking at homegate.ch trying to determine where the best place to get a flat. I see a lot in out-lying cities. Some look like a pretty good distance from the city, but Google Earth can make it look deceiving. Does anyone know if there's a site that lists the travel time on public transport for cities like Adliswil, Regensdorf, Thalwil, Horgen, etc?

Thanks.

Try This:

map.search.ch

Just tick the transportation box then hover over the bus or tram icon - type in where you want to go to.

You can also go to:

http://www.ffs.ch/

and enter the two places you want to go between. It doesn't just have train information, it also covers the local transit systems - autopostale, metro busses, etc.

try the SBB website : www.sbb.ch/en will give you all the travelling times & changes for mainline & S-Bahn trains.

Don't forget, SBB = FFS = CFF; they are the same thing just in different languages. To avoid confusion, I prefer to always call it SBB even though I live in the French part.

as the OP mentioned between other towns and Zurich, Zurich canton has an excellent site www.zvv.ch

I use it all the time esp. ZH city.

Try using Google Maps rather than Earth .. you can switch to hybrid mode & see all the street names as well. Also zooming out a little will give you an idea of orientation.

Actually in Ticino at least, it includes schedules and routes for the AutoPostale and TPL busses as well as the little baby train that goes to Ponte Tresa.

Sorry, down here we're closet Italian nationalists.
