HI,
I'm new to Zurich, I moved here from California three months ago. How does one go about meeting people here? I work for an ICT company, I'm here alone and enjoy doing most everything the area has to offer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well darlin you've just found the answer to your own question check out the social thread there is always something going on. Put out your feelers with other people on here and if there is nothing to your taste already organized maybe you could suggest something different and see how people react. Good luck and welcome.

I'm in Thalwil, which is south on the west side of the lake about ten or fifteen minutes.

Lots of possibilities....There's a beer garden in Zurich right near Bellevue that I've been wanting to check out. Haven't been up the Uetliberg yet. Taking the Lake Zurich ships on a nice day can be fun. I'm sure there's more.

You guys cal always try the hash , its a good way to meet noth expats and locals in a relaxed setting, the hash is the Hash House Harriers founded origionally in Kuala Lumper over 60 myears ago and now to be found in all major cities around the world, no membership or joining just show up and join in the fun , its mainly about jogging and socialising but walking is always an option.
