More questions. Paracetamol and clothing this time.

Living in Bangkok as a rounder lady, it is impossible for me to buy clothes - even those for the lady boy's, all too small and too short. shoes are the same, I take an english size 9 so must buy them online or have them made. Is clothing for the fuller figure (OK, I'll be blunt - tubbyfatbum) available easily, shoes too?
Second questionl. I read somewhere that drugs are expensive in Switzerland. Would it be sensible to purchase 1000 paracetamol for example and ship them or would that lead to problems importing them - not to mention marking me down as a drug dealer?

I think you'll find it's actually quite civilised here - or you can go "abroad" to France, Germany, Italy or Austria to get what you need.

There are a few shops in Zurich that specialise in the fuller figured women such as Marina Minaldi (sp?). I'm not sure what is in Zug itself but Zurich is not far away. As for medicines generic paracetamol is not too expensive but I highly recommend you bring medicine for your child such as Calpol & Nurofen if you can get it.

Re: More questions. Paracetamol and clothing this time.

A 500mg paracetamol pill costs about -.20 Fr. or even less so I don't think it's worth the hassle to import a multi year supply. Patent protected drugs are much more expensive, compared to the neighboring countries.

If you order drugs in a foreign shop, you'll probably have to pay the Swiss VAT (Mehrwertsteuer, 2.4% or 7.6%) and some administrative fee. If you buy them in person, you can import goods up to 300 Fr. per person and day customs-free. There are lower limits for other goods but not for meds.

The generic paracetamol that I buy which is cheap is called Dafalgan, it can be purchased at a Pharmacy.

Re: More questions. Paracetamol and clothing this time.

Search for paracetamol here to get more details.

Acetalgin
Becetamol
Dafalgan
Dolprone
Treuphadol

They should all be over the counter drugs. Paracetamol-caffeine-drugs aren't offered often, and personally I'd only recommend them if you have to drive a car afterwards...

Of course the cheapest way to get paracetamol is to join the Swiss army, where one is only sick if he has fever and the treatment to all illness is to fight the fever! They use big volumes of paracetamol and Ponstan 500 (also called "Spontan 500" in these circles ) there...
