This thread has just about remained on topic: Funny signs seen out and about.

The Negroe Sweets thread started about one specific topic but has drifted somewhat. A few of the posts in that thread would be better off here.

Luckily, those in London early enough realized that Hounslow (where the airport was built) might be divided into Houn-SLOW and so preferred the name of the local estate Hea-THROW (correctly of course Heath Row) for naming their airport

But sufficient jokes have been made in the Lombardy about MAL PENS a ..... what a bad thought about the nice airport

I bought a tube of toothpaste a couple years back from Migros. Not sure anymore, but I think it was Signal brand. Was cool, the label proclaimed "Big Size, Small Prize". No joke. Now they just say "Big Size". Guess somebody finally figured out the spelling mistake...

It was not a spelling mistake, but somebody figuring out the bad thoughts of people like you

You figure? Buy a tube of toothpaste and get a "Small Prize" as an extra added bonus? I'm guessing they meant "Small Price" as in, "Great Value For Your Money". No bad thoughts here, my friend. Just the plain and simple facts...
