Anyone reckon there'll be more snow?

Just kitted myself out with full ski gear (after renting for a season) but not so keen on the compact/icy stuff as I still regard myself as a beginner.

A nice thick layer of new snow would be a Godsend but don't know if we're going to have any now things are warming up.

I suppose there's always Titlis but always too many people & more expensive.

Yes, I reckon there will be more snow. Particularly in the mountains.

Yup sir, halo around the full moon, going from my own observations, I reckon we are in for a real rocky March, snow still to come and more storms as well.
Make sure you take extra careful note of the weather forecasts before you go ski-ing, you should still get some time in though, have a good time .

From my experience, there are always late falls, but you need to be ready as it melts quite quickly.

Last year in March was epic.

Yes, remember that, more snow than in december but shame because I didn't care then.

You could also take the tactical approach of going high up?

Zermatt and St Moritz have never failed to impress me with snow cover...

From Luzern; maybe you should have a look at Andermatt; that might not be so crowded?

I hope so. The canton of Vaud was mostly 10 degrees and higher yesterday and raining.

We are thinking about going to Val Thorens just to get some decent snow as it is easier than driving to northern CH.

Snow forecast for Basel by the weekend, so I think there's going to be more of the lovely stuff.

Re: Anyone reckon there'll be more snow?

in Arosa it snows at least once a month, without fail, even in the summer.

They are expecting new snow in the next 3 days.

The conditions there are always awesome, never icy, until the end of the season.

Just at the base of Klewenalp (www.klewenalp.ch) & to be honest what looks like snow is actually white lumpy ice, can't be bothered to go up as I'm sure I'll bust my leg(s)...snow here too forecast in the next days so I'll be back!

Thanks for all the tips for the places to go, didn't realise how lucky I am as many good places are within an hour or so from Luzern.

Re: Anyone reckon there'll be more snow?

You could ski at any time in the sommer in Saas Fee. I realy reccomend a skiing trip in the of season in Saas Fee. It is very acessible by public transport too.
But this morning I read in the coffee grounds there is above 700m no more snow coming.
