Hi all - just a quick question. Is there much demand for english speaking nannys in switzerland or would most expats be looking to have someone mind their kids who spoke German / Italian / French?
Have had a look around and found some posts for these positions, but just trying to get a feel from people. Reason I'm asking is my girlfriend is a childminder over here, has a little French (not a huge amount) and was wondering what the odds were of finding work as a nanny / child minder in Switzerland.
From what I have seen, there is quite a good demand for English speaking nanies. The trick will be finding one that fits in with your life style (ie. live in or live out position).
I'm sure you have seen the ads on here, but also check out international schools in your area, as they often have noticeboards (online or physical) where you can advertise or read advertisements for positions. These ones are often English speaking positions.
