After watching that video, I'd say Geneva looks awesome.. even as awesome as Canberra! | | | | | I never thought I'd see anyone use the word 'awesome' when referring to Canberra (even in jest. yes, I lived there for 3 years).

I like zurich more then geneve , because in zurich there are more options for bicycles, the pedestrians have advantage against the cars(more then in geneve), zurich is cleaner then geneve, the hotels in geneve tend to be more expensive then the ones in zurich,in zurich there are more concerts then in geneve,....
Hope 3 doors down will be back sometime to zurich( the concert was awesome at volkshaus).......(i miss them)

I am not crazy about Geneva. Although it is of course comfortable to live there (after all, it is in Switzerland, albeit barely so), I would not call Geneva a particularly likeable city. For a town that abounds with water, what with two rivers and a lake to boot, it is strangely unexciting. The proximity of its airport is the best bit about it: makes it easy to get away to much more interesting places.
I know, I know, I am a spoiled expat and a party pooper. Should have posted this in the complaints corner.

True Geneva is clean and pleasant enough, but there is a lack of buzz to
the place. It's a very business orientated place and is expensive even
by Swiss standards.Due to it's proximity to the French border,it's not quite
French Swiss(Suisse Romande).
Personally I prefer Lausanne,it's more interesting and lively enough, but at the same time it's not in your face, like the larger cities.Prices are more reasonable that in Geneva. It has a large student population too.Plus I feel that Lausanne is more French-Swiss(Suisse Romande)than Geneva...

If that interests you, you can read the bit about it on wikipedia |

Alas, I have two small children, so most of the brunching time would have to be spent preventing them from drowning...
