| | | anonymous letters - what to do?
been receiving anonymouse letters recently. Not really sure where it comes from. I don't have any in mind where i have problems with.
Somehow I think it could be my partner who could do it (you know to make me worried/jealous/think or simply his way of indirectly saying things....when we have differences) BUT I can not prove this yet! I find it really psychotic somehow and I am not sure whether I need to consult police or legal advice to get this tracked somehow...
...we received 5 letter in total now. Some addressed to my partner and some to me.
Any advice what to do?

How about telling us what the letters are about?
I'm never shy in giving an opinion, but even I struggle to say anything without more info.

some are threathening telling us to move out the apartment. some basically about me and my partner and our daughter. some about my partner will eventually look for someone else....basically, seems like someone knows info about what's going on in our family and using those infos against us.
recent letter is basically saying that i should go back to my own country? I don't get to talk to anyone about me and my other half when we fight - i don't know about him...sometime i think he is doing it on purpose? or could it be there is another person?
My question is, can these letters be tracked? I really want to figure out who the hell is sending this and terrorizing my family.

Without a full police investigation - which you won't get - no, the letters cannot be traced easily.
If you are genuinely concerned, I would take copies and report them to the police. They won't do anything, but at least you've registered your concern.
What does your boyfriend/partner say?

no they will likely not be traced......well it could be a family member since they know things noone else knows, or it could be a mad inlaw, blaming you for moving out of the country? you Egyptian by chance?

I think your first action should be to seek legal advice. They will be able to advise you on whether approaching the police is appropriate or what other kind of actions you might take.
Are the letters sent through the post? Another approach may be to contact the post office for help.

thanks for your reply. I'm just really concerned whether i should make a move and get in investigated. I will try to report it this time because we already got 5 letters in total...kinda annoying and worrying.
My partner only mentioned it 2x that we received a letter but he never showed them to me - I tried looking for them to be honest and he kept the ones addressed to me...and that got worried. Not sure if he didn't want me to worry about it or it's his own tool - no idea!
I did tell him i consulted advice and we even fought coz i was honest saying sometime i think it could be him..... |

Anyway, I'd take them to the police, if they're worrying you.
Good luck.

Good point. Legal advice indeed. Yes, the letters are sent through post. I already phoned them and asked whether these can be traced but they can release infos without police getting involved.

Also, mostly we recieve a letter just by chance we either had a fight which somehow was escalated. What a coincidence? ...it's mental when i think about it! Makes me scared...and i really wonder why go that route?
but then again, i have no proof because i can't think of anyone else.

wow that really blows!! Im sorry about that!! I was with a guy once who's ex kept emailing me through facebook about things only we would know because we just had a fight about it!! I called him on it and he said I was paranoid!! I still told him where to go and found out a few months he had done it twice before and been caught by other girlfriends!! it was his weird way of distracting me from his odd behaviour when we did fight!! made me mad at something else kind of thing!!
the 'ex girlfriend' in question DIDN'T even exist!! he had made her up :O :O

Wait till you receive the envelopes stuffed with lint from the dryer. Then you'll really be in trouble... | | The following 2 users would like to thank Dougal's Breakfast for this useful post: | | |
