I dunno Treverus, I am pretty sure there'd be a tear or two if I got to line up for Scotland at a world cup for the first time when the national anthem was played. I only lived there 6 years (or suffered the regime there for that long!) but it doesn't stop you feeling patriotic towards the place of your ancestry.

Having an emotional connection to their homeland is not 'pathetic'. Im sure you personally know this bloke and know his reasons for his love of the country do you Treverus? How do you know he even supports the regime? Maybe he's trying to do some good for the people in the country, however little will get through. Nobody knows
