thanks for all the advice and encouragement...

I don't always feel that ..but seem to feel depressed lately... may be is due to the gloomy weather that life ... has it up and down .. like a roller coaster...
I have to agree with Begga that it take time to make friends. It will be hard when we left all our old best mates back home that used to comfort and be a good listener when we need them.... They still be around with today technology (via phone or internat chat) but it never feel the same...

cheers up .. i be OK ...
No it doesnt quite feel the same, web camming with your best friend over a cuppa when you both could be sitting face to face, drinking and chatting about life. Its also shitty when you want someone to talk to and realise thhat they are all asleep because there is quite a difference in time zones, calling them at 4am their time, doesnt quite cut it.

I think the biggest tip I can give you is to join in activities here but have zero expectations. I was subconsciously comparing the people i've met here to the ones i have back home and it really didnt help. Best thing to do is just enjoy the company of your new acquaintances and go with the flow. You might find a gem or two from these new people, you might not. Two words: zero expectations. Your sanity will thank you for it.

From the sound of it, you are doing great. We all have these low moments. Hang in there.

Re: feeling lonely ....negative .. may have to change the lifestyle..

I think the reason people dont get steady happiness or bliss is because they are always hoping for Grand things to happen to make them happy. A fancy car, high paying job, big house, true love, exciting party every night... which are hard to comeby, and for many people NEVER materialise...

Whereas if you look for happiness in small things, you would always be successful. Any car is better than no car... having A job is better than job. Small and cosy room is often more comforting than big palace... You might not be able to have a party everynight, but just a meal or a drink with a friend is brilliant!

If you can find happiness in small things (size does not matter ) you will find happiness easily. While waiting for Magical love, there's no harm in Materialistic short bouts of sex

Ok ok... Im sure you guys get what I am trying to say. You might not have a garden, but even a single flower can make you extremely happy, if you want it to.
