having tried to find something by searching the forums, i haven't found anything regarding secondary schooling and gymnase in neuchatel. does anyone have experience with the schools and what is your opinion? how do they rate to other cantons? specifically, schools in the center.

also, looking for a glimpse into life in neuchatel. i know it's a small town, but how is life there- culture, events, etc.

I don't have a vast experience as we have only been here for just over two years. My son is 13 now and is in 9th Harmos but not at a school in the centre a we live about 8km from the centre of Neuchatel. We have been very happy with the school system here but I can't compare it to other cantons s I don't know anything about them.

There are two lycée/gymnase in Neuchatel centre one is better for science/maths and the other for languages.

We like the town very much. It is small but there is still plenty going on and there are some interesting events and museums and stuff going on here.

Hello, I have friends who moved to Colombier close to Neuchatel last August, they are Australian and have a daughter who is 14 and going through hell at the Colombier secondary school, language issue and huge culture shock, lots of bullying going on. They are considering moving to a more international area asap. I hope you will have a better experience!!!
