Most EFers would tell you that is way below the poverty line.

Grow up lads, people on here are trying to get a feel of what you might need to live in Switzerland, Basel.

On English Forum?

Seriously though, your first question was vague.... what salary you should expect for what looks like a very specialist field. A bit more info such as what industry, what's your age, working experience and at what level might get you some sort of answer.

Now you are asking what you might need to live in Switzerland which is a very different question. Use the search function and you will find a lot of advice. I think I remember reading here that the average salary in CH is 68,000 pa but I also know that most EFers would not get out of bed for less than 120,000

You might also attract a higher salary if your potential employer hears you describe this country as Switzerland instead of Swiss.

Good luck and welcome to the forum

I think you need to grow up - this question is asked constantly and qualifying it with specifics cuts no ice.

USE THE SEARCH, DERRR!

I see your point but can you see ours? In spite of the masses of information on this site, you 'barge in' without an introduction, ask a question which I, for one, couldn't make head or tail of, and then complain when folk have a little joke at your expense. We get your sort of question every week, if not every day and sometimes the enthusiasm for looking up links and 'guessing' what the new member is really asking palls a little.

Hope you find the info you are looking for and that the job chance turns out OK.

I think it more likely that no-one here even knows what sort of job that is, let alone does it!

Re: Non Destructive Testing Jobs ...Salary..???

SteK I find your comment unpleasant, sorry. How relevant is this?

Zampa, sadly this type of question is asked almost every other day, hence the sarky remarks. How about introducing yourself and re-phrase your question, so we understand better what you are asking- as well as use the search function. Most people here are really nice- as long as you don't ask where to buy brown sugar, or how much your salary should be. Welcome.

I take it you're trying to place a client and don't have the resources to figure out what an appropriate salary might be. I work in a pretty specific technical area and based on the data reported on this site almost two years ago, I was able to get a pretty good sense of what to expect, also based on my own knowledge of the field in general.

I know! they fly around with a boroscope- hardly ever home. Not many of the really good ones, they make their money from overtime, air miles etc. Otherwise salary is pretty crummy.

You phone them up when you want them, say get a flight now and come and look at this liner bring your boroscope and UT.

Ta da!

I know everything!

I guess I could supply you with the salary range in line with qualifications, but then what's in it for me?

If the thing you're testing hasn't been tested, how do you know it won't break while you test it?
