No interview feedback

Hi folks,
Is it common for Switzerland or companies based here that after the interview the company or recruitment agent fail to notify you about the outcome or gives excuses when you call them? I am a bit puzzled as this is a new situation for me.
Thanks for your feedback!

Re: No interview feedback

yeah get used to it.

HR is here (mostly in General) :

Very rude
timewasting
none responsive
timewasting
hiring the people that want that position for the next 20 year and will not go out of their comfort zone

oh and timewasting

They do not usually pay your travel expenses. They do not keep you informed. They often do not show you around the work place. You can wait 3 months for a response.

How long ago was your interview? I had a long-ish wait for a result but found out that they were umming and ahhring over three final candidates.

I got the job in the end but I think I was second choice and number one had either turned them down or they changed their mind about him.

Keep looking for other jobs and if they do contact you, you may be the one choosing.

More than three months ago and the post has been already deleted from the Internet some two weeks ago...so I figured out on my own that I was not selected or the job was canceled, although they were promising to contact me in any case. What bothers me is that I had to travel to another canton and spent all day travelling. So I take your advice and keep looking! Thanks

Re: No interview feedback

Things move rather slowly in CH, from my experience anyway. I was once contacted for interview over a month after I applied for a role..they said it was urgent and need someone in the area to start ASAP.
If the urgency was so pressing, what puzzles me is that they were so slow in getting back to my initial application.

Yes. Most of the time they try to fob you off and are unwilling to give you any good feedback.

Re: No interview feedback

Don't forget to post your feedback at the Kununu website (employer's / recruitment evaluation).

If everybody would do it regularly, things may begin to change.

Re: No interview feedback

I think it also depends a lot on where you are in your career. I definitely hear back a lot more than I did, say, 10 years ago.
