Hourly rate for landscaper

Hi My name is Tony. I am coming over to Zuri to work for a landscaper in March and have offered a contract. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the going rate for a skilled landscaper . Cheers

We don't know anything about your age or family commitments, however it's a very expensive place to live & 5000 a month is not a lot of money here. What are they offering?

Re: Hourly rate for landscaper

The local guy works for himself and charges 110CHF per hour- which is the standard rate around here for any skilled labour (plumber, electrician, etc). So the boss will probably bill clients for about that amount- but will only pay you a % like about 50%. No idea how much in real terms- and perhaps depends very much on location too.

Re: Hourly rate for landscaper

Most handworkers here are charged out at Chf90 to 100, and about 1/3 gets to the actual worker. So in your case if you can get Chf5000 month (chf30hr) then I think you are doing ok, even though it is not a lot to live on.

The figure looks reasonable. 5000 chf per month 'd be a tight budget to live on in Zurich.

It depends on education and experience, if you have both you could well earn 80 chf per hour...if you were self employed. That is the figure the firm might bill your time to a client and obviously you would earn less.
