Moroccans working in Switzerland

I just wonder if someone has any knowledge on the rights of Moroccans to work in Switzerland.

My partner is a Moroccan passport holder, but has been a permanent French resident for 40 years. He is in the process of applying for his French passport but in the meantime he wants to look for work in Switzerland.

Is there a government website with the info, would it be easy enough for him to live in France and work in Switzerland, get a permit etc?

Would my status affect assist him if we were living together for instance, I already work in Switzerland and I am British passport holder.

Any info would be helpful

I think it will be quite difficult for him to get a work visa for switzerland if he is not an EU citizen. If you are not married then your status cannot help him. I doubt he can even get a residence visa.

Re: Moroccans working in Switzerland

What Dack said. I personally know of a couple in the same situation (1 partner EU one partner Moroccan). The only way for the Moroccan to be able to work is to get married (which my friends eventually did).

Sadly, speaking from experience, getting the French passport can take several years so his "potentially French" status doesn't help him either as far as getting his B permit in CH. How far is he along in the passport process?

That said, his French residence permit allows him to travel here and he wouldn't have too much trouble if he were to unofficially stay for a few months. But working (above board that is) is a no go without marriage or an EU passport.

Re: Moroccans working in Switzerland

He is at the beginning of his French passport process, that is after I have been telling him to get on with it.. He is entitled, as he has lived in France for 40 years, he hasn't needed it as he has always lived in Paris.

Marriage, that's a bit scary just wondered if there were bilateral agreements with Switzerland and Morocco.

Thanks for the info tho....
