| i was given a self employed contract from the uk.. all well and good. as you know its very hard to be truly self employed in Switzerland and in actual fact i wasn't at all. I have now found out that the contract i signed doesn't comply with swiss employment law. as the contract is therefore illegal here does that mean the entire contract is invalid or can they hold the few but remaining terms to account.. needless to say i no longer work for the company but they are holding me to account on a couple of things. i would appreciate some help here | |

It is in fact very easy to become self-employed in Switzerland - I have been for the last 15 years. However, being self-employed with just one 'client' could pose a problem, but not an insurmountable one.
I suspect that the Swiss authorities will want you social contributions paying up (AHV), but we are not mind-readers here. It is impossible to help without any information...
