| Shoud I wait?
I'll be finishing my masters in Actuarial Science this June and I was wondering should I wait until I've actually finished to start looking for a job or should I continue trying to find a job.
I know this may seem like a no brainer to some but the few positions I've seen come up, I've applied to and been turned down for. So I am wondering if it has some thing to do with the fact that I haven't finished my degree as yet.
I also keep hearing from people that persons with my "skills" are in demand but trying to find a place where I fit seems to be difficult. And it seems as though graduates generally have the same skill sets. I mean I had the opportunity to see someone else's cv and it was almost the same as mine except for the fact that the schools on it were different and the L1s and L2s were inverted. But the qualifications and skills were the same. How do I distinguish myself to get a job in a market this where everyone has their bases covered?
And what's the best way to network here besides LinkedIn?
