Re: No german, no work

Haha, these last few posts have cracked me up. Princess duck all guns blazing, cowers her half Spanish victim into a corner.....then asks for a date.

Oh you poor little boy. I am a girl. What harm can I do to you?
I'll meet you...I'll meet any of you. This El nota character though, I'd have to bring a long a joke translator. Although my best friend is Spanish, and I get his jokes. So maybe it's something else.

No. Most paramedics are volunteers very few are salaried. Anyway, you should start a new thread.

When you pass this way, we can grab a coffee and I'll translate his joke for you.

Maybe El Nota is actually a girl. Although no offense to the ladies when I say that.

Depends on the canton, here they are salaried, as are fire-fighters. A friend of mine has worked as one for years, as I recall he then went for a nursing degree.

Thanks. I have a friend who works in TI for the Croce Verde with whatever relevant training (he's not a nurse) and he says they are mostly volunteers. So, he works for them a few nights a week and has a regular full time job in the day. Maybe I misunderstood him.
