Hi all,
My wife has to take a 6-months specialization course with Red Cross for updating her diploma in healthcare. The course is 4400 CHF and is a big burn for our budget.
Does anyone knows if there is any help from Gemeinde i could ask for?
Or if Gemeinde is obliged to help somehow in these kind of situations?

As far as I know the city of Berne doesn't have any scholarships. You can ask if the Canton pays anything. Further information can be found here:

If your wife doesn't work - she needs to register in the RAV "the call it RAF in German"

They basically will help her to find a job - part of this help is by offering courses, they always start with language courses, but she may be lucky if she convinced her responsible that this course is more important to her for the moment than language course.

Please note that she has to be patient with the RAV procedures and response times.
