I came 3 years ago (non EU citizen) to Zurich and while my husband (swiss) finish his studies I am working as a full time nanny, I love children and the payment is descent to manage our budget, but Next year I want to start studying in a fachoschule in winterthur (my husband will be by then out of uni) and they require one year of experience in an office, so I am wondering if you could point me in the rigth direction,I will really appreciate it.

How about volunteering to work in the office of a charity?

The problem is that I am the one providing while my husband finishes his Bachelor.

I will need a job were I can earn descent money for a couple's budget.

I typed a long reply but someone beat me to it and I see you're looking for paid work. So a lot of my reply (relating to finding an unpaid work placement) is not relevant.

If you're looking for paid work, sorry to state the obvious but don't you just need to search and apply for jobs in the areas you're interested in, the same as anyone else?

I'm sure a search (on this site or on google) will provide you with many links to jobs websites, advice on applying, CVs etc.

Alternatively, identify companies you would like to work for and send out speculative applications.

If this is a requirement of the course you wish to do, wouldn't the best place to ask be the school where you hope to study? They presumably have many prospective students who need to gain this experience and may well have companies or organisations who they have worked with in the past.

Another possibility would be to contact your local careers advice centre (I'm afraid I don't know what that is in German). My local centre were quite happy to see me even though I'm older than most of their clients. They also offered advice on CVs, letters of motivation etc.

I have to say I'm not sure of your chances if you don't speak any of the national languages though. I've been job hunting on and off for the last two and a half years and I don't think I've ever seen an 'office job' that doesn't require at least a basic knowledge of the local language. In fact, I haven't seen many jobs, apart from childcare, that don't require the local language.

I will be very hard for me to get a job without a bachelor that's why I am asking for some Advise if you already experience or know someone who had the same issue as me. There are many qualify people out ther that could fit better than an unskil person like me, eventhough I have 1 yer of experience in a callcenter.

My husband and I got married quite young and we decided together that I will work and support while he finishes his study and then I'll start Uni as well, that's why as soon as I found a job I stick to it and really didn't search for something else until now that I really need the experience.
