Does a 16-yr old need a work permit?

My company offers summer employment to kids of employees, however they will not apply for work permits for them. Would my 16-yr old son, who has a B resident card with the description of "avec activité" (not sure what activity that refers to) be able to work without applying for a permit if both his parents have work permits here? Thanks for any answers on this

The answer is yes, they need a permit, and your son has already got one.

As I understand it, the B permit is the work permit.

Exactly, in this case the words "avec activité" are key!
