Greetings!

My husband and I just moved here from Washington DC to Lausanne and have only been here a week. (And what a frigid week it has been!!) I have several interviews lined up for potential babysitters (live out, only a few hours a week). In DC, the going rate per hour is about $10-$15 for one child, depending on experience and whether light house cleaning is also involved.

I was curious what some of you pay your babysitters per hour in this area. Also along the same lines, those of you who leave your children with a babysitter overnight or over a weekend, what is generally paid?

Hi, we particularly have paid 15CHF per hour and when they stay overnight we have paid 100CHF as flat fee.
