Please could you help me.
I am looking for work where English is the communication language, in Vaud region.
I am a child psychologist. I have many years experience in working with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. However I am prepared to do others things too, like human resources or even administrative work.

I have already the diploma recognition and I have sent the papers for the FPS and I'm waiting for an answer.

But I was thinking of private schools or associations or even individual support for children with disabilities.

You could also think about private practice.

Without pouring too much cold water on this, you need to work out what the population of your catchment area is for a private practice. Of this figure, about 22% are foreign, but not all Englsih speaking as first language foreign. Lets say maybe 8-10% for arguments sake and i stand ready to be corerected on this figure.

Now of this figure, how many need your type of service ??
Can you support a private practice based on the hourly charges you can invoice ?

Whilst you can offer an excellent professionel service you will probably have difficultly on local knowledge as what is available for follow up, for treatment etc which surely has to be part of phscological treatment ??

Thank you for your feedback, but in my opinion a private practice it's not an option at the moment. I also think it would be very difficult.

My idea was giving individual support to kids with autism or learning disabilities.

I will keep looking and waiting for more ideas.
