Helen Doron English Teaching

Hi

I have been trying to find an English teachers post and I came across the Helen Doron website. http://www.helendoron.ch/

I was wondering if anyone has experience with this company? They are mentioning I would need to spend 1000 CHF on training before being able to teach and use their materials, trying to decide if it is worth it!

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Nichola

Hi Nichola,

I know you posted a long time ago about Helen Doron, just wondering if you ever went ahead with it? I am also considering it but not sure if the investment is worth it. I have asked around but not many people know about them it seems

Regards,
Karin

I considered doing their course but was put off that I would then have to be essentially a franchisee and pay them a %age of my earnings - which would be very meager as it is. Maybe I misunderstood the info, but just wanted to let you share this viewpoint with you

Yeah I received information from them and they said something like 14% of your earnings go to them, that's pretty steep! I guess I will have to look into TEFL courses instead. Thanks for your input

Cheers,
Karin

A friend of mine did this and has now been teaching kids for many years. I think she is happy with the setup but will double check with her if worth while money wise.

Good luck!

Re: Helen Doron English Teaching

I was looking for private EN lessons for my son... I contacted a teacher from the HD site... the quote was 100chf per class.
So I opted for a different solution. It was just too expensive for a 4yr old.
I guess you should check how many people would pay for it, versus attending the HelenDoron centers or the AtoZ etc...
happy day
