I'm looking for a course in Cisco CCNA(since I can't find a job)

I live in lausanne and I've found 2-3 course but the price are really crazy (more than 4000chf for 10 days of course)

My guys have used this place in Bristol. A lot cheaper (even by UK standards) and still a certified Cisco course. The feedback has been good (even from a ex-CCNP guy who was recertifying).

Easyjet flies to Bristol from Geneva and combined, it's still probably cheaper than a local course!

It depends on your Networking level. The CCNA used to be only a 5 day course. This one is quite intensive by all accounts.

Have you had any previous Cisco or networking experience?

I have a network experience (router, firewall, wlan etc.) but nothing about cisco

i have done my CCNA and CCNP in india the course duration was 45 days
and it was too cheap.

When I took my CCNA (ahem... about 13 years ago ) it was only a 5 day course (ICND). My background then was general IT support and about 4 months previous experience in Cisco router and switch configuration and troubleshooting.

Perhaps give the course a call and see what they say?

I would recommend looking up some of the labs online or try and locate some old/secondhand equipment running IOS from somewhere. If you can be familiar with the commands, it will help with the course.

Also practice your binary and read up on subnets. You don't need a course to do this but it is very key to Networking.

Finally some places in the UK offer bootcamps but they aren't cheap either. However, some companies do offer last minute discounts if there are spare places.

Have a look at the sample exams before you do the course. Admittedly, I studied networking in university, but I only had to glance at a textbook for a few hours and try the virtual lab a little bit in order to pass the exam (12 years ago).

4000 CHF is it just the course learning or its including with the online test fee ?

5 days of course, and I will study at home later

and if you dont have knowledge with Networking....5 days will not be enough for you.

I have basic knowledge, I'm also sure that 5 days are not enough but they are a start and after will be more easy study at home, isn't it?
