Hello everybody,

being a new member, I'd like to introduce myself.

Currently I am working in the UK as a PA in live-in packages. For a start, my packages were organised by a care company that specialised in providing care packages for people with disabilities, including spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and acquired brain injuries, then I’ve decided to go private.

I do several week long packages( usually two weeks on-two weeks off) with travelling to my partner living abroad on my weeks off. Now we are planning to move together, and because I speak French and learning German, Switzerland might be a good idea since I've always wanted to spend more time in that marvellous country.

In my packages I do all the housework and general personal assistance for my clients, and I also take part in their life considering their needs like socialize with them or take them to vacation.

Since I'd love the idea of assisting people in their life , I'd like to continue my work wherever I move, but I don't really know where to start searching for job as a live in carer. So if someone could tell me if this sort of job exists in the country, help in finding a good jobseekers website ( just like for example "Gumtree" in the UK), ideally specialized in this kind of job, or tell me about other contacts, I'd be grateful.

Welcome to the EF - that was a nice introduction.
It`s great to hear about someone who enjoys such a rewarding job.
