I am interested in talking to people with experience using Peoplesoft. Specifically, I am trying to understand how widely used it is at companies in the Zurich/Zug area.

I am working with a client who is interested in locating their global procurement office in Switzerland (Zurich/Zug). They currently use PeopleSoft modules for Financial Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management.

PeopleSoft is just Oracle really and I used it, working at my old company in Fribourg.

Why on earth would anyone want to use PeopleSoft and what difference does it make if it is used in a specific area when you can have the server placed anywhere in the world? We had our in San Francisco and due to the time difference, the reports were always dated/timed as per US time.

I would even go so far and recommend Epicor rather than PS...

We use PeopleSoft for HR/Payroll and Financials, but we're in Basel.

I believe Credit Suisse uses it, as does UBS. But UBS are looking at another Oracle product called Fusion for some of their ERP. I'm sure if you google it, you'll see some press releases etc..

The company I work for in the US uses peoplesoft, but we have offices in europe as well.
