Re: 4 months off from RAV to launch business: trap!
Been interesting to sit back and see peoples attitudes here...
I was merely pointing out that I was AT NO POINT warned that I'd have to give up the project in it's entirety at the end of the 4 months.
A project I'd been working on, in my own time, for the past 12 months+. And conceptually for a couple of years prior to that.
I did not stop looking for a job: the 4 months without supervision was actually recommended to me because I needed to travel extensively to get the project to the next step and as we know, that isn't permitted under the RAV rules rather than because I wanted to avoid the forms etc...
I have no problems to go back to the job hunt process at the end of the 4 months, but it's been made clear to me (by the RAV), that there will be no job for me in CH unless I manage to create it myself. This process was my best chance of doing that.
Now I've been forced to hand the project off to a German company, if they manage to make the project work, I will (in theory) get an income. They expect to hire 5-10 people at least in the first year if/when it launches. The RAV's attitude has cost Switzerland those jobs.
My subsequent dispatch to a German course was a by-product of this, yes, as the woman who I had to apply to for the 4 months out, was in fact the "employment overlord" to whom the RAV adviser reports and she decided from our communications that my German wasn't adequate. I don't think it's a conspiracy to ensure I am completely grounded in CH every single day of the week...
I hope those of you with the slightly more aggressive responses on here are perhaps a little re-assured that I'm not here to rip off the system. Merely wanted to share my experience and offer up a small warning.
