Work in geneva and live in France - unemployment benefit rights
I was wondering if someone can help me understand my rights. I am currently working in geneva and live in France.
I am currently in dispute with my employer about my job and fear at any time they could get rid of me. As we know in switzerland then can get rid of you without notice.
This is where I am concerned. As I live in france I need to understand how I will be treated by the social security.
I have not committed any mis conduct, but they may just decide to let me go. In this situation how will the french social security treat me. I did not quit, I was let go. Does this count as being fired? As I understand it in France you cannot quit your job of be fired if you want to claim benefits.
Maybe I need to request something from my employer to ensure I am protected in the worst possible outcome.
Many thanks for any advice information
