My friend has been offered a job in Neuchatel as a dental hygenist working 100% starting Oct. 1, 2008. She has sent me some information wondering if her salary is decent, unfortunately I am the last person she should be asking and was hoping you guys could help.

Here is what she provided:

"Fr. 4850- month minus 650 tax i think, 710 for the appartment, 240 for AVS and 110 for insurance which would make 3100/month.
I would also get a 13th salary for the year contract, and he will pay my way back to Canada."

I need to double check what the 110 CHF insurance is as I am fairly certain this isn't health insurance. I also need to find out if the 710 CHF is for an apartment they are providing her or if this is the number they gave her.

Personally I think it's a little low in comparison to the salary calculator link posted in another thread, but again, I have no idea what a hygenist would make.

She doesn't speak any German but is a native French speaker.

She's taken a different job in Switzerland and is very happy here!
