Looking for a job...

Hello all!

I've read many different posts, replies, threads etc. all saying the same thing, "I'm desperately looking for an English speaking job and have no German language knowledge".

I am no different! Besides the situation outlined above- I thought I might learn more by posting a more personal thread.

I'm looking for almost anything- however I would love to do humanitarian work- or community based work. I've volunteered in Africa, teaching HIV/AIDS prevention education, and in Vietnam at both a local orphanage and the children's cancer hospital.

I've spent the past year and a half teaching English as a second language and to be honest, would love to work in a different field. I love teaching and training- but do not love teaching English as a second or foreign language!!!

I have a degree in Web Design but also would rather do a job in a separate field as I haven't been designing for over two years and my heart just isn't in it.

Any tips, advice or leads would be amazing.

In addition to actual working/paid positions I would love to learn of any volunteering opportunities available!!

Thanks in advance for any and all help!! I look forward to learning more about Zurich!

Re: Looking for a job...

Hello Cobracori,

I would have an opportunity for you as a "praktikantin". This is a very low paid job, but it is in the Zürich area working in a preschool setting with children, together with a qualified teacher. Send me a PM if you are interested in getting more information.
