If you don't have an unlimited contract, you don't get a permit(B or L).
Switzerland is not part of the EU, you don't speek the local lingo (french), so you won't be able to communicate with co-workers or clients.
You can hang around on a jobseeker permit(3 Months max), but your money will not last long (accomodation, food, petrol).
Currently it is summer time(here in basel a lot of shops closed for holiday), there is not much going on (jobmarket), september would be a better idea.
Learn the local lingo (if you need to make it to geneve), french is not easy to learn(so many exemptions), apply from your country and maybe you got a slim chance.
