Yes I sent the form to the new fund.. I mean, they sent it in the RAV. I was there in an interview and they told be I could fill the form there and they would send it for me so I trust them.. and now they're telling me I need to contact the old fund in Jura? My God!!! I'm living for almost a month with no money, this is just too much for me..

anyway.. thanks for thanks for enlightening me but now I have no idea what I'll say to the old fund in Jura as I already sent the form to Winterthur..
The RAV office can print you out a new IPA form. I'd email and say you will come and collect it.

Re: RAV Oerlikon - help!

And I'm not sure I understand this... I left Porrentruy on July 9 (officially July 10) and then I had a problem with the contract I had for this room because the woman who rented me the room didn't ask for permission to the landlord so I couldn't ask for a new permit... then I had to ask for permission to the landlord and they took a lot of time to send me the document signed... so for some time I wasn't registered anywhere. But that is not my fault!

I just remembered I have a form here in french from July because they gave me new ones in the RAV when I went there.. but what will I do? I just need to fill it and send it? What about the document where we put our job search? I gave everything to the RAV in Oerlikon...

Re: RAV Oerlikon - help!

OK Jessi, now you have to be pro-active. Walk to Oerlikon tomorrow take all your papers with you and go to Rav. If no one will see you ask them to direct you to the social services in Oerlikon.
It may help to let them know you speak French. As you are entitled to money, social services may advance you some of your money until your unemployment money arrives. It's going to be hot tomorrow so set off early and wear comfortable shoes.

Have you searched for any Portuguese institutions that will help you sort out the paper work. It's not charity but a support system for fellow country people. Even if it wasn't your fault only you can pick up the pieces.

This time will pass. x

Re: RAV Oerlikon - help!

I have absolutely no idea how to walk to Oerlikon... I moved here a month ago, I always used the train. I suppose I can use it but if I'm caught without a ticket I'll be even worst that I'm now.. I sent them another e-mail to ask if they could do it between themselves. I explained my situation and asked if the RAV here could send the papers to Jura..

Re: RAV Oerlikon - help!

In the afternoon, I think at 16h30 or something.. they were already closed. But they answered me late to my first e-mail so I don't think they would do much today anyway.. but I hope they can do it because I already gave all the documents here, so I don't even have everything to send to Porrentruy now... nor money to do it. So I hope they can send everything themselves...

Re: RAV Oerlikon - help!

roegner , google maps would be helpful if I could use it on my phone while I'd be walking but unfortunately I can't because I couldn't pay swisscom. So... 54 minutes on foot without even understanding the name of the streets and not even knowing where I am, I think I would freak out, stressed as I am.
I prefer to wait for their answer... maybe they can do it themselves.

Re: RAV Oerlikon - help!

How do you think people did this before there were smart phones and satnavs? Look at the map and write down what streets to take?!

Well thank God I live in a time with smart phones.

I think I'll wait fot their answer anyway, and then if I need to go there I'll follow your advice. Thank you.

Re: RAV Oerlikon - help!

Your choice. I would think it is fastest and simplest to go there and ask for help rather than waiting for an email.

And if your smart phone can´t help you, be smart yourself and find a solution

You have a smart phone and are very smart.

So I don't need to tell you to use an offline map.

Re: RAV Oerlikon - help!

OK Jessi, I'll be on the train from Dübendorf tomorrow that leaves at 9.34 it should get to Wallisellen a few minutes later. I will have a return ticket for you with me. I have to go to work but you should go to Rav and try to make sure that they solve this issue for you. Please don't forget to ask about social services to tide you over.

Hope you get some sleep.
