Salary of a Sales executive (fresher) in Banking industry

Hi Guys,

I wanted to know what would be the starting salary of an english speaking person if they join in as a Sales Executive (fresher) in say personal loan division of a bank. I want to compare the salary they would receive in Zurich vs Geneva.

Here are two salary calculators that might help to determine a wage in the Swiss banking industry. They are only available in the national languages:

Thanks Mullhollander. I checked both the websites and thanks to google translate could understand what the categories mean however I had a question.

One link you gave states the min salary is 5500/mth where as the other says 6500/month. to survive in zurich howmuch according to you should one earn (gross salary/mth) to have a good lifestyle with at least CHF 2000/per month as savings.

ETH Zurich calculates a student needs about CHF 2'000/ month to survive. Since you will be working, subtract tuition and related university fees to adjust calculation to your situation:

You will be paying income taxes so you should estimate the amount of taxes by using an income tax calculator:

Generally, as a non-EU citizen and earning less than CHF 120'000 p.A., you will be subject to Quellensteuer (source or withholding tax). You can read up on it at this link and should be able to estimate the amount of taxes due:

http://www.steueramt.zh.ch/internet/...eitnehmer.html

Disregard the tax calculator in prior link as this is for those who are taxed ordinarily (not source taxed).

The health insurance numbers are way off. That would be the cost for just one person, not a couple with a kid. You can look here - https://en.comparis.ch/ - to have an idea

The rental numbers will depend on where the place is rented. So, it could be higher.

Re: Salary of a Sales executive (fresher) in Banking industry

At Chf 6'500.-- you are at the very lower end of the scale and without at least 2 languages you are not really a lot of use to a Swiss bank as such.

If you were super star trader bringing millions in revenue to your bank it would be different, but just with English and starting out....

There will be a lot of candidates for this type of position and without language i don't think you'll be an obvious choice. You may be lucky and prove me wrong, i hope so, but i feel it unlikely, especially in banking today.
