Its about the density and per unit number of them. Once we even found a condom behind one the cooking machines.
Did a manager put it there. Like I said, franchises can be less than ideal from a management perspective, but a company store a different story... which did you work in?

I used to work in Mcdonalds when I was in London to learn my English. It is a very interesting place to meet lot of different people and have free lunch. But the managers were very bad and selfish.
Fortunately, we aren't in London.

And which London, by the way?

Tom

I don't know who put it there. But the Managers were often flirting with young girls who work there and also had affairs.

Once this supervisor's wife came to the restaurant and started shouting at this poor little girl who worked there. She thought she was having an affair with her husband.

I am not sure. I thought they were all Mcdonalds?

Ah ok, so you cited a condom and associated that in the same context as bad managers? Workplace affairs, well that again is not the sole preserve of fast food joints, and you think that none of the crew were going out?.

In short, you don't actually know who the miscreant with the condom was but imply management involvement. You don't know who paid you, so you don't know if you were employed by McDonalds or some franchisee who bought a licensee to operate a store from McDonalds, and has the control over who he hires in what positions. Yet you do know enough that based on that to say McDonalds management is poor?

People who abuse power, have to be in position of power first, unless some subordinate was considerate enough to bring the condom themselves to get ed.

If the logo outside says Mcdonald's with the big yellow golden arches. It is Mcdonald's. They should be more careful.

Without evidence how can you possibly know who put the wayward prophylactic there?

A company store is not the same as a franchise, it's not that difficult a concept to grasp, but google can help. A McDonalds franchise looks from the customer side the same, and should be operated the same as a company store. Sadly in practise, once the franchise is purchased, the training completed successfully, and the the store handed over, other than purchasing of food, packaging, uniforms etc, the day to day operation is controlled NOT by McDonalds but by the franchisee.... that is a critical difference, and you should understand that. They are audited and checked, but what happens between audits is grey.

I am not saying all stores, company or franchise, are perfect and can think of many institutions like, the catholic church or the white house when people in power behave inappropriatly... it's a sad fact of life, tossers are everywhere and not all like Big Macs.

Re: Working in Mcdonalds

I have nothing against Mcdonalds. I enjoy pink slime and dehydrated potatoes. I just did not like some managers in the 1 store I worked in.

Once 1 employee picked up the mouse trap from under the counter and sked what is this in front of the customers. They always hire low IQ people.

Yes, I managed 4, and 2 of those I opened, and all company stores. 1 was scheduled to go to franchise, but the hopeful franchisee was declined in the end..... maybe he wasn't catholic?
