Credit Suisse recruitment process query

Hello,

In the beginning of December I did a series of interviews in Zurich for a position.

I was told that I would have an answer in 7-10 days. However, its about a month and still don't have any feedback?

Could it be due to Christmas period things going slow or is it usual for delaying?

Regards

Re: Credit Suisse recruitment process query

At 15 days you should have chased up. Did the recruitment go via an agency or direct? btw - if you haven't heard, then the chances are extremely high you haven't got the job.

You could call HR or drop them an email to follow up.

Re: Credit Suisse recruitment process query

In case banks don't come back to you within 10 days, most likely they will never do. They have highly organized recruitment teams and it simply cannot be the case that they didnt have the time to review your application.

Best of luck though

Re: Credit Suisse recruitment process query

still got chance but low.

Most likely that HR has given an offer to someone else but is still waiting an answer. if the selected candidate rejects the offer, you may get the job

I'd follow-up with an email to the HR rep. There's nothing wrong with that.

Ha ha! I can only assume that you don't work for a bank and have had to hire people for your team.

To the op, after a month it's unlikely you were their first choice, but it's not unheard of for hiring decisions to drag on or for the first choice to turn it down. I also think it's extremely rude to not give someone a response after they have actually turned up for an interview (or several). I would send a polite email to both HR and the hiring manager (if there was one and you have the contact details) asking for a clarification of your position so that you can move on with your job search.

Re: Credit Suisse recruitment process query

That's not all bad. You're still in the mix. They may have an offer outstanding with another candidate or they may be infighting about who will fund the position.

Agreed - I've also heard that final approval needs to come from quite high up at the moment in CS for any positions being offered. Hopefully things start moving soon

Re: Credit Suisse recruitment process query

A friend of mine... might have heard that large parts of CS just got their hiring processes frozen and reviewed in order to cut spending. The hiring manager or the HR probably won't know themselves right how long it will take and weather or not this position will still exist after the review or not. I'd not bank on it.

Hi OP,

Just curious to know. Did you get the job in the end?
