Notice within probationary period

If an employment contract starts on 7th December and has a notice period of 7 days within the first 3 months, when is the last date notice can be given for it to still be 7 days?....7th March or 29th Feb?

Thanks

Until the experts come, my understanding is March. After that the regular notice period would apply.

If you fear this could happen, do start searching now for a new job and check what the RAV requirements are.

Typically (as defined by law - https://www.admin.ch/opc/en/classifi...dex.html#a335b) the notice period during probation is of the "hand-it-in-now-and-leave-x-days-later" kind.

So given a notice period of seven (calendar) days, you could decide to resign on February 5 and you would be out by February 13. No end of month or anything.

Or they could do the same to you. 7 days notice - until you've finished your 3 months probation.

Of course, employment law is totally fair to both parties in CH.

Re: Notice within probationary period

Thanks, just wanted to know the last day I could resign before my notice turns to 3 months from the end of the month. Wasn't sure whether the 7 days had to start or end by 7th March. I bow to your superior wisdom!
