Can anyone help me?

Hi! I am an Aussie Hairdresser looking for work in the Luzern area. Does anyone know any english speaking hairdressers (auslanders preferably) who may be able to point me in the right direction for work? I speak basic german and am learning new words everday but I REALLY need to work to learn the hairdressing lingo. Even just work experience I would appreciate! Thanks!!

Re: Can anyone help me?

There is an English speaking salon in Zurich www.nwh.ch I am an English speaking salon owner just opened in Basel. I worked for someone for 6 months (disasterous). It is better if you can make your way on your own. From what I understand there are English speaking people in Luzern looking for a good Hairdresser. Good luck!! It took me months just to find a person to give me that 1 chance. I also started doing a bit of hair out of my home when I was getting started. All the best to you!

Thank you so much Barry.... I have read great things about you!! It's a shame you're not closer! It is hard I know, but when you have to make money I guess that's life! Thanks again

Mother-in-law?
Father-in-law?
Brother-in-law?
Sister-in-law?

There are many misconceptions here in CH. Many things are allowed.
If it is not allowed, someone will soon tell you after a long long time.
Swiss are very tolerant, if you are kind, quiet, pretty and say "Gruezi" to every one.

Smile.

I agree try to advertise yourself privately.... Like my good friend told me the other day: Swiss won't reach hands to you, you must approach them first
