So 30 days sick would extend it for 30 months!

And my employer accused me of getting sick on purpose. Actually I had an operation in this period and he said I did that on purpose.He was a big A hole-the boss of a big Elderly Persons home in Zürich

Depends what the operation was for, surely- without info how can anyone tell.

The OP sounds as though he is 'planning' for the event ... (btw if you choose to wirte the history of employment and sickness on EF- it remains on record).

an emergency unplanned operation with a doctors certificate. And he still did not believe it.Even threatened not to pay me. Of course he paid me in the end.And that was a Church run elderly peoples home!

I did not know they could only be terminated at the end of the month.

It is certainly not what our contracts say, they do not refer to specific end dates. Only to 3 months notice from date of giving notice.

Another one of the Swiss laws "everyone knows" (except us foreigners)?
