Pay question

When I see the salaries mentioned in http://www.bfs.admin.ch/bfs/portal/e.../salarium.html
they dont come anywhere near what i earn now.
I asked HR , they said it depends.

Is the same in all companies?

If it was more, surely the OP would not be questioning it? I definitely wouldn't be...

Normally yes....but the phrasing made me think perhaps they are above ("they dont come anywhere near what i earn now")

Re: Pay question

If other companies are paying more, then you could maybe fetch a competing job offer and discuss it with your current boss

Interesting I thought the phrasing meant that it was definitely below...

That was how I understood it too.

It does seem a bit strange to complain about it if that's the case, though.

etsius has made some interesting contributions
Re: Pay question

It's interesting to see that 96% of the people declaring income in Switzerland are under the so-called poverty line in EF (120k). Or 93.3% if we only take into account full-time employees, according to these Swiss Statistics. You can find the Excel sheet with the frequency distribution of salaries here: http://www.bfs.admin.ch/bfs/portal/e...ent.131506.xls
