Hi,
Can anyone give me any advice, I am currently living and working in England and training to be a Dental Nurse. I am hoping to move to Switzerland in the near furture to be with my family does anyone know if there are any British/American Dental Practices in Zürich or surrounding areas? And what qualifications would be acceptable here in Switzerland? Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Hi Kettering
Ok, firstly, I will admit that I don't know anything about dental practices around Zurich (or in CH at all for that matter! ), but I would have one suggestion:
Why don't you learn German while you are waiting to come out here? This is not a you-come-to-switzerland-you-must-learn-german smart arse reply, its just that you will find it pretty useful in everyday life while you are here, and also, it would mean that you didn't have to limit yourself to English speaking practices.
Other than that, I say go for it! Come on out and enjoy the place, it is a totally different way of life!
All the best,
C

This is really peculiar. The Kettering65 that I met a few weeks back lives in Horgen on Lake Zürich and has been in this country for over ten years. Are you a relative of hers, using her name in the Forum? I am very curious.

Could it have happened like this?
Away from home, the original Kettering65 uses another computer (perhaps belonging to a member of her family or a close friend) to Log in to the Forum and doesn't log out when she closes down. If she had told the compi to remember her Password, someone could Log In again without any problem at all.
Gregv will doubtless put me right if I've got things muddled. |

the post has been made from a Bluewin ADSL subscriber address. The question is being asked in Switzerland - perhaps Kettering65 has a visitor?

Could be. Does one (i.e. do you) have to do anything? |

Like what ? Go round her house and remonstrate with her in true swiss stylee? (you can ban users, or IP addresses but chastising wayward children is not currently a vbulletin function)

No - I'd simply suggest that the second person make her own Profile, so that we know who we are talking to. If she wants help on the Forum, it would make it easier for both parties.

At the moment, I'd say your pal has let someone use the computer and, lo-and-behold, it's logged in automatically |

I know for sure that the Zahnärtze Zentrum Zurich down in Zurich Main Station advertise with "english spoken": http://www.swiss-smile.com/en/hauptbahnhof/ | | This user would like to thank marmoset for this useful post:

To get a definitive answer, best ask them. |

I've met a lot of foreign dental hygenists - some not speaking German.
After all, it's not like a haircut now is it?
