Sole trader as a nutritional consultant??

Dear all,

I am going to be moving to Zurich early 2009 with my Swiss boyfriend & I'm desperately searching for job ideas!
I currently work as a dietitian in the UK and would like to do something that's loosely related when I move to Switzerland - language barrier permitting!
I've researched the ways to work as a dietitian, but my lack of German is a major problem.

I'd love to set up my own business doing independent nutrition advice/consulting but don't really know where to start. My other thoughts were to work in a larger english speaking company doing nutrition research/writing/consulting.

If anyone has any experience with setting up as a sole trader in Switzerland then I would love some tips....unless anyone knows of any diet/nutrition related jobs?!

Any suggestions would be greatly received
Thanks!

off the bat I can think of Novartis Consumer Health or Nestle, but they are on this side of the country...

Re: Sole trader as a nutritional consultant??

Thanks for the reply - I have noticed that most of the nutrition-based companies are in Western Switzerland!
Anyone got any thoughts on doing web-based consulting?? (This would solve my location dilemma! Also from a language point of view, are there any English speaking company that deal with internet-based nutrition??)

As you can see i'm open to all suggestions

Novartis sold their medical nutrition business to Nestlé so that reduces the options!
Nestlé Medical Nutrition is located in Gland. I do have contacts there if this could be of any interest.

Thanks Grantley - that could be useful.
Even though my boyfriend will be living in the Zurich area, I am still keeping an open mind re. location of jobs - I'm aware I can't be too picky!

So if you know someone I could contact that would be great
