Myself, my wife, and my two springer spaniels, are all trying our hardest to find a decent job in Geneva so we hope to be there soon!

In the meantime we would love to hear from anyone that is employed by a bank/financial adviser and could point us in the right direction. I am a Financial Adviser/Relationship Manager.

Most banks will fall over themselves to hire Relationship Managers - even more so if they come with an established network if you catch my drift. There are also a fair number of investment advisor / PM positions on the market.

Some headhunters are good, and some are less (usually looking to make a quick buck off you). I'd gladly give you pointers if you wish.

Have a look at Michael Page's website to start with. They are one of the better organised / structured headhunters. There is also eFinancial which si pretty good. Mr. Aronowicz is a sharp cookie as well.

As I said, if you can justify of a network and acquisition experience, banks will in general show interest.

Retribution will also vary depending on the type bank you join (European, Swiss, U.S.) with U.S banks like ML a lot more comission-driven.
