Hi, sorry for derailing the thread, but the median salary (so half of population earns below, half above this mark) is 6k gross pcm, so that would be ca 13x6=78k yearly. So that's true more-or-less. Now, as to who gets the cream and who doesn't - maybe the (native) English speaking expats from your circles earn above this mark, but the other immigrants, manning Aldi, Migros, cleaning services, construction, landscaping etc aren't even close to the median 6k.
